DUO magnifying lamp includes two interchangeable glass lenses (3D & 5D) , allowing users to switch between a wider field of view for general assembly tasks and a higher magnification for closer visual checks. The integrated LEDs provide bright, even white light, and the long reach articulated arm keeps the unit steady during routine work.

What is the difference between 3D and 3X?
Dioptre is the most common unit used for expressing magnification for low magnification optical systems sich as bench magnifiers. It is the same term as is encountered at the optician when calculating magnification for spectacles. 1 dioptre adds 0.25x in magnification. So 3D (3 dioptres) is normal magnification plus 3 lots of 0.25 = 1.75x.

The edge clamp has an opening of approximately 75mm. If a desk is too thick for the edge clamp, table bushing and surface mounts are also available.

You simple place your fingers on the lens surround and twist to release this cover. Then you can remove and replace which ever magnification you need. The replace and re-screw the surround cover in place.
